Much of my conversations around risk involves talking about climate change-related phenomena such as sea level rise, the increase in cyclones and the declining health of oceanic ecosystems and the risks that they pose to coastal communities. I feel it difficult to talk about the urgency of taking action when it comes to these risks which seem to have a longer time scale to pan out as compared to immediate risks such as inflation and other economic instabilities.
