Environment | Context & Community

Africa | GHANA

You need to come to the level of the community you are engaging. Speaking their language, knowing what they are particularly involved in in that community, and doing enough research to see whether they are at risk. We have a lot of fishing communities, so in this instance, we know they will have a good understanding of fishing and we can talk to them about how lead poisoning can come about in this area. We come from an angle they understand and that’s what really works and gets their attention.
