Developing local and collective knowledge at the grassroots level is great because it makes the people who are working with the communities know that they matter, that their knowledge and work matter to others around the world and that people can learn and emulate. Most of the NGO and research work with the local communities has been theoretical and abstract, and a more practical and involved approach would be greatly appreciated.
