Environment | Assessing Risks & Trade-offs

Europe | PORTUGAL

As a surfer, you sometimes rescue other surfers in situations where they are trying to save their surfboards. The first thing they should know is that they should only try to save their equipment to the point where it starts to become a risk to themselves. For example, if you climb a rock and use your surfboard as the first means of impact protection, and the board becomes damaged, it is what it is. If you must break your leg to get out of the water, that is so much better than losing your life. So, you need this ladder of outcomes.
