There are many challenges when communicating risk. For example, when talking about conserving the forest, sometimes we get responses from children where they say ‘we live near the park and animals from the park destroy our crops; we find we do not have food at home and the only resource we see is the forest’; so as much as you tell them not to encroach on the forest or cut down trees, they look at it as the only source of living. It is a huge challenge because we cannot provide them with food or other needs, so this is where it is really hard.
